Thank you Oodles of Art for this lesson idea! I think next year I will let students pick a destination of where they would like to 'fall back to" and maybe incorporate the 7 wonders of the world....
Yes, they traced around their own hands and shoes. Then the left becomes right and right becomes left on their paper. Students draw details in their hands and the bottoms of their shoes.
I went about teaching this from a view point perspective. We discussed one point perspective, foreshortening and space.
