5th Cubism Still Life

Students created a simple contour line drawing of a vase and fruit. Then they used a ruler to create non-parallel lines both vertical and horizontal. In each space created, they used a color pencil to create a 3-hue value scale of light, medium, and dark. It's key that the dark values our opposite of each other in the shapes. Students decided on whether they wanted to use warm or color colors for the objects or background to create contrast.
