Art Lesson Plans at a Glance

This year I worked out, finally, how I would like to store and present my lessons and examples

1. A glance at the week followed by the actual lesson plan and standards with relatable books also in the sleeve.

2. In the back, dividers per grade level separating my teacher examples

Your system is very impressive - kudos to you! My weeks are so chaotic sometimes that often different classes at same grade level are at different phases of the same project during any given week. Does your system adapt to that eventuality? This past week, I had one class split due to no sub, 4 more canceled (of various grade levels) due to early dismissal. How do you keep it all straight?

I break down the grade levels by classes and make notes on the weekly outline and have the examples and standards listed on the board. If I have a ''surprise' moment. I pull out centers and let the visitors choose or I choose an art enrichment for them. Unless... The class that was dropped in me was behind...then why not just catch everyone up.

I must say I am at a great small school and we have great communications in the morning before my day begins :-)

I just discovered your blog today. I was wondering if there was any chance you would share a full photo of your lesson planning layout? I am particularly interested in seeing the first image on your lesson planning post where you grid out goals for perception, production and EQ. I am working on re-formatting all my units, and this format could work.

I too would LOVE a full picture of your page, or do you have a document you'd be willing to share?

Thank you so much!

I love how you have this set up! It would be nice to have a more detailed picture of your forms. Is that something you would be willing to share?
